Abstract
Purpose. An analytical review of the current state of mining vehicles and IT-oriented trends in its further development in the conditions of deep iron ore pits of significant capacity with the choice of available models potentially suitable for the conditions of Kryvbas. Research methods. Actual and comparative analysis of statistical indicators when using mining and transport systems in large-scale open-pit mining of ore deposits, followed by a forecast of the prospects for the technical re-equipment of large iron ore open-pit mining in Ukraine in a direct transition to robotic dump trucks. Scientific novelty. The interpretation of modern trends and regularities in the evolution of open-pit mining transport with increasing depth of mining operations. Practical significance. Forecasting the efficiency and substantiating the parametric range of technical re-equipment of cargo flows of ore open-pit mining when designing the development of their deep horizons. Results. On the basis of the authors' analysis of the state transport and technological complexes of ore open-pit mining, it is argued that the introduction of robotic vehicles into the production processes of iron ore open-pit mining of Ukraine is the most promising and realistic direction in the technical and economic solution of improving the movement of mining mass. The use of robotic open-pit mining dump trucks provides the most flexible optimization of any intra-pit excavation and rock transportation system, however, the mining industry continues to operate using conventional dump trucks. Currently, even the use of 300-ton and more powerful self-dumpers is becoming an ambiguous alternative to robotic vehicles due to high operating costs. The viability of using a robotic vehicle lies in the degree of its economy. This is the advantage it provides over the conventional road delivery system it is meant to replace. The analysis of recent studies convincingly demonstrated a fully justified revival of interest in the transportation of mining mass in deep ore open-pit mining by robotic vehicles and the technical and economic advantages of this direction at the same time as reducing the negative impact on the environment under the conditions of its implementation
